Twice in the past year, Local 1681 members have witnessed both our federal and provincial governments misuse legislation that interfered with the collective bargaining process and undermined the right to strike. Albertan teachers and Air Canada flight attendants both fell victim to laws forcing them back to work on terms favourable to employers, and reducing constitutional protections for us all.
