In Memoriam – Brother Andrew Debogorski (LL99)

Sisters and Brothers:

I am forwarding the email and links below, in hopes that you will be able to seek support within your membership for the Debogorski family. I am encouraging IAM members to support this family, and that this be circulated to IAM members within your Locals.

Brother Andrew Debogorski suffered from advanced and disabling ALS (a severe neurological disporder, commonly known as Lou Gehrig’s disease), yet was able to save his family before a house fire tragically took his life. Brother Debogorski was a member of Local Lodge 99 and District 14 in Alberta. He was 32 years old, and leaves behind his wife Myriam and two young children.

The family has set up a GoFundMe pagehttps://www.gofundme.com/debogorski-paquin-fire-relief-fund to support this young widow and her children.

There is also a link https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/north/fatal-fire-yellowknife-support-1.4964203 to a news item on CBC news, with more information.

Thank you in advance for any assistance you can lend to the Debogorski family. In Solidarity,

Stan Pickthall, General Vice-President
